God keeps giving me light vs. shadow verses when Thursday comes around lately. The ray of hope for thought provoking ponderings (pun intended!). Today was no exception:
When we are in those dark places we can rest in the hope that the dawn will come. Like sunflowers watching the horizon from sunset, they know where their light last left, they wait patiently for it's return in the last place it was found. Then their faces will turn when the sun rises, seeking the life giving rays they need to survive and grow and bloom.
We too can practice a spirit that remembers where His warmth was when the sun set. We need not wither and fade in the darkness, but stand erect and waiting for the light to return. We know His light, what it was, where it was when it left.
When dawn breaks and His light creases the horizon we can find our renewal and turn to be find His Son rise. Our strength replenished and our spirit growing for another day of blooming.
May you be renewed in His light, strengthened in graciousness and blooming in hope.
Blessings,
Even in darkness light dawns for the upright for the gracious and compassionate and righteous man
