I don't know why, but one thought is reoccurring in my mind today:
It is a funny cliche` but when we take a moment to truly consider what it means, it becomes a statement that can aid healing in matters of the heart.
Like children on a marry-go-round, we tend to go in circles when our hearts ache. We try to run and hide from the truth even though, no matter where we go, there we are. We can't get away from ourselves, our minds, or the consequences of our own actions.
David was all too familiar with running. He knew well what it was to find yourself wherever you were. But he didn't fret about it, he didn't hide from it... instead, he walked peacefully because he knew he was not alone:
Wherever you go you are not alone because God is there. See where you are and look up because Jesus is there too. When your heart aches and you want to run, run to Jesus.
I pray you remember, where ever you go, wherever you are, Jesus is there too.
